Truth About Trouble

What an incredible series this has already been!  In the first two weeks of our series, Journey with Joshua, we have seen God do incredible work in some who call Faith Family home.  As we enter into week three of our series, I believe God has just begun the great work He desires to do. We have all faced the question, “How do I get from here to there?”  Pastor Jamie did an excellent job helping us discover some practical steps we can implement in answering that question.  In week two, Pastor Jamie delivered a powerful message that inspired us all in how to overcome obstacles. I’ve prayed preparing for week three, I was compelled to explore the word “journey”. It is defined as the act of traveling from one place to another.  It is also used as a verb that describes the process of traveling somewhere.  However, the definition that impacts me most is:

a long and often difficult process of personal change and development”.

At Faith Family, we believe the journey matters.  We believe that it is important and necessary.  I have personally spent a lot of time pondering the journey on which my family and I find ourselves.  It has been filled with many stops and awesome adventures we have experienced along the way.  On every journey, however, there is inevitably trouble.  What we do in the face of that trouble sets the tone for the next chapter of our journey.  So, what should we know about trouble? This Sunday as we continue to look at the story of Joshua, I want to spend some time looking at the Truth About Trouble.  In Joshua 7 as the dust was still settling from the crumbling walls of Jericho and as Joshua’s reputation and the news of his great victory was spreading across the land, trouble was awaiting him.  I pray you can join us this Sunday as we continue to explore this Journey with Joshua and the role that it plays in our own journeys. I am looking forward to worshiping with you all this Sunday! Blessings, Pastor Brandon
