“Keep It Simple”
Pastor Brandon got our new sermon series, “Gone Fishing,” off the a great start last Sunday. His message helped us answer two important questions:
- What is evangelism?
- What is my part in evangelism?
While I don’t know a lot about fishing I do know it’s been around for a long time. Even in prehistoric times people were successfully fishing with the simplest of equipment. One doesn’t have to have the latest gadgetry to succeed at fishing. All you really need is a line, a hook, and some bait. In the same way evangelism doesn’t have to be complex. I think this picture illustrates what I’m trying to say. 
So this coming Sunday, I want to answer two more simple questions regarding evangelism:
- What does a person need to KNOW to become a Christian?
- What does a person need to DO to become a Christian?
