“User-Friendly Faith”

Have you ever bought something that promised to be “user-friendly?”  I look forward to telling you all about the “presto-pop-up-picnic-shelter” we bought a few years back.  User-friendly?  Ha, just the opposite! When something is “user-friendly” it’s intuitive, meaning you can simply feel your way through to figuring it out.  So, that prompted a spiritual question – is following Jesus supposed to “user-friendly?”  Can we just “feel” our way along as followers of Jesus? I believe Jesus answers these questions for us in a story recorded in John 6:60-71.  I hope, as a student of Scripture, you’ll prayerfully read that story before we gather for worship on Sunday.  Ultimately, it’s the story of how both “user-friendly” faith and genuine faith respond to Jesus.
