“Exercising Your Faith”

When you core something, you cut away all the outside parts leaving only the center.  Which prompts me to ask – so what’s at my core?  Strength or weakness? A weak core, whether it’s physical or spiritual, will always lead to additional complications and deeper problems. That’s why I believe our present sermon series, “Strengthen Your Core,” is an important one as we get 2019 underway. Our focus scripture for this series is Ephesians 3:16.

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.

Notice three important things.  First, prayer is a great place to start when trying to strengthen your core.  Second, God’s unlimited resources are always available to you as you seek to strengthen your core.  Third, the Holy Spirit is the one who makes growth happen. One of the ways you can strengthen your core is by exercising your faith.  And when you exercise your faith three things in your life will begin to change: your worldview, your priorities, and your actions. That’s what we’re going to look at this coming Sunday.  I hope you’ll prayerfully read and reflect on Ephesians 3:16 between now and Sunday. You’re in my prayers, pastor jamie
