“From Here to There”

I’m intrigued by how much Jesus traveled during His earthly life. How many miles would you guess He covered during His three year ministry?  I’ll have an answer for you on Sunday so let’s see if our numbers match. When I read the Gospels, it seems as if Jesus is always on the move.  He’s leaving here to go there and, more often than not, He’s inviting others to go with Him.  Obviously, Jesus’ invitations weren’t just about changing geographical location; they were about changing a human life. This coming Sunday, I’ll be teaching out of a story in Matthew 9:9-13.  I hope you’ll take the time to read it several times before you get here on Sunday morning.  Jesus’ encounter with Matthew, a tax collector, illustrates a simple truth –  in order to get THERE you’ve got to be willing to leave HERE. I look forward to sharing with you what God has shown me in this passage.  Remember, as a follower of Jesus, you’re on a journey and Jesus has a destination in mind. Because the journey matters, pastor jamie
