“Citizens of Heaven”

If you have ever traveled outside of the country, you know the importance of having a passport.  It is literally your ticket home.  On the inside cover of a US passport, you’ll find these words, “The Secretary of the United States of America hereby requests all whom it may concern to permit the citizen/national of the United States named herein to pass without delay or hindrance and in case of need to give all lawful aid and protection.”  This is an indication that you have certain rights/opportunities not afforded to those who are not US citizens or nationals.  However, in addition, we also have certain obligations/ responsibilities as citizens of the United States.  If having rights and responsibilities is true of being a citizen of the United States, it is even more true if we are citizens of Heaven. Sunday we will look at an overview of Paul’s letter to the Philippians.  Primarily, we will briefly explore seven character traits that citizen of Heaven should develop and exhibit.  Along the way, we will also look at a powerful prayer and a powerful confession. I hope that you will join us for this brief look at Philippians as we prepare for a new year and a new decade. On the journey with you, Tiger
