“Risky Business”

Maybe you have been told that taking a risk is not always the wisest thing to do. Usually, taking a risk will imply that there isn’t much, if anything, known about the other side of that decision. What about taking a risk for God?  Well, sorry, there is just as much unknown involved in the risks we take in our obedience to God.  However, when we do take a risk that God calls us to take, though there may be uncertainty, we can be certain He will be there to meet us when we take that risk. As we look at Genesis 12:1-9 this Sunday, we’ll find Abram being called by God to leave his place of comfort in order to go to an unknown land.  Believe it or not, God calls each of us to take similar steps of faith as we follow Him to the unknowns of the Promised Land before us. I hope to see you Sunday as we celebrate our 10th year anniversary of Navs@CMU! Pastor Max Holmes – CMU ‘15
